House of Danar Hadi


House of Danar Hadi (abbreviated HDH) is an integrated heritage tourism complex of batik which is located in the city of Solo in Central Java. HDH was founded by the company from Solo batik PT Batik Danar Hadi in 2008 and specializes Batik and cultural aspects as the main attractions.



Building History
HDH situated in a complex of ancient buildings which are heritage, the main buildings in the HDH is Ndalem Wuryaningratan. This building was once the residence of a prince, the grandson of the King of Solo (Surakarta Kasunanan) Sri susuhunan Pakubuwono IX and daughters of Sri susuhunan Pakubuwono named X KRMTA Wuryaningrat. Apart from being an aristocrat Raden Wuryaningrat also assisted the struggle for independence by joining the movement Boedi Utomo, Raden Wuryaningrat also has served as chairman Parindra (Partai Indonesia Raya) and members of the Solo BPUPKI. The building was built in the late 19 th century with a unique architectural style is a combination of Java-Europe at the time of the grand vizier Sosrodiningrat dalem IV (Surakarta Kasunanan Prime Minister and father of Raden Wuryaningrat). Over time this building became derelict and covered with thatch grass, until finally purchased PT Danar Hadi in 1999 and renovated. This building is now converted into a multipurpose function hall.

Batik Museum of Ancient
Ndalem Wuryaningratan In addition there is also an ancient batik museum called the Museum of Ancient Danar Hadi Batik. This museum is the main attractions at the complex has opened HDH and first in 2002 by Vice President Megawati Sukarnoputri. The museum holds a collection of batik cloth that reached 10.000 pieces and recognized by MURI (Indonesian Record Museum) as a museum with a collection of batik most. Batik cloth on display in this museum comes from the period and the influence of culture and the environment is different. One of the most important collections in this museum is a collection of Dutch batik, batik is influenced by European culture and made by Dutch people who settled in Indonesia in colonial times. Collection of these fabrics is the personal collection of H. Doellah Santosa, founder of the PT Batik Danar Hadi who is also the founder of HDH complex. Behind the museum there is a complex batik factory and the stigma can be visited by the tourists. Meanwhile, in addition to the museum there is also Cafe Soga, a cafe that provides a diverse culinary offer.
