The root bridge
The root bridge is the bridge that is formed from a tangle of tree roots that grow two opposite and extends over a stream in the district of Batang Bayang North Bayang, South Coastal District, West Sumatra. In the Minang language, a bridge that is located approximately 88 miles south of the city of Padang the society called aka catwalk.


This bridge has a length of 25 meters and a width of 1.5 meters with a height of approximately 10 meters of the river's surface, were formed in 1890 and can only be used in 1916. In other words, the process of knitting roots into this bridge takes over less than 26 years. Currently, conditions are becoming increasingly powerful as the growing roots of the banyan tree shape.
