Reservoir Jatiluhur

Jatiluhur Reservoir is located in District Jatiluhur, Purwakarta Regency (± 9 km from the center of Purwakarta). Jatiluhur Dam is the largest dam in Indonesia. The dam was named by the government Basin Ir. H. Juanda, with panoramic lake covering an area 8300 ha. These dams built since 1957 by the French contractor, with the potential of available water for 12.9 billion m 3 / year and is the first multipurpose dam in Indonesia.



In the Jatiluhur Reservoir, 6 units installed turbines with 187 MW installed power by electricity production average of 1000 million kwh per year, is managed by PT. PLN (Persero).

Furthermore Jatiluhur Reservoir has a function of irrigation water supply to 242,000 ha of rice (two crops a year), raw water of drinking water, fisheries and the cultivation of flood-managed by Perum Jasa Trita II.
